Doug, thanks for the many years of Planet Japan. I believe I’ve been listening since podcast #5 or #6. I lived in Sasebo from 93 to 97 while serving in the US Navy. What are you doing special for episode 200?

Albums are also great to show to your friends who come over after the wendidg. It’s been a year and a half since my wendidg and I haven’t sat anyone down at my computer to go through my hundreds of photos but I’ve definitely shown lots of people our album!

Would you happen to have any fmialy photo’s that were taken in Sterling that you would be willing to share? I live in Sterling and am interested in the history. Any photo’s that also include buildings are of interest.I remember your Aunt Francis and Uncle Dugan and Butch, they lived down the road from me when I was growing up.

    Hi Clifford,

Thanks for being such a loyal Planet Japan listener! Not sure what we’ll do for #200. Any suggestions are welcome, though.

@TokyoDan suggested I talk to you; I’ve an older Igo friend that lives in Okyama City, getleman by the name of Kaname Kawai. I’m given to understand that Okyama City wasn’t affected by the earthquakw/tsunami, but I could use a little more reassurance, if you could…tia.

Okayama is fine. We’re located quite far from the devasted area, so we weren’t affected by the disaster.

    Thanks, Doug; good to know.

I suppose you folks also aren’t experiencing the food/water/gas shortages that seem to have bedeviled other parts of the country?
